NOTICE TO CONSUMERS: Federal, state and local laws govern the use of nonpublic personal information as defined in the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, (15 U.S.C. § 6801, et seq.), collectively known as the “GLBA” and the Drivers Privacy Protection Act, (18 U.S.C. § 2721 et seq.), collectively known as the “DPPA”.
a.) We are prohibited by law from performing any client searches that will be used in whole or in part as a factor for determining a persons eligibility for: credit lines, credit terms, ability to pay, employment, obtaining personal insurance, licensing, apartment rental, check-cashing, opening a bank account, or for any other matter in which a consumer report would be used under the Federal Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).
b.) Clients may not use any information obtained by My Private-I for the purposes of committing fraud, stalking, harassment, extortion, bribery, or for any other purpose that would be considered illegal by local, state and federal law enforcement. If evidence is discovered that a client is using information obtained from My Private-I in violation of local, state or federal laws, they will be suspended from using My Private-I’s investigative services and may be referred to federal, state or local law enforcement at our discretion.
